2016 will finally close the 9 year cycle which started back in 2007. And even better, 2017 will open a new chapter and I’m thrilled about it!
Even though the past nine years were a discovery of my true self, a return to my true identity, a quest of healing and also an acknowledgement of my strength and power, I’m ready to move on and create a new nine year cycle with more serenity, faith and love.
What about your cycle? What did you learn? What was the teaching for you? If you could give a title to your past nine years, what would it be? Take a moment to retrospect, look at the positive time and challenging ones of those past nine years and find some conclusions that will help you to avoid making the same mistakes for the next years, to clean up what doesn’t serve you anymore and to get clarity for your present and foreseeable future.
My title is “Identity.”
And, my retrospect is that my parents got divorced. My father disowned his children and his life with us. I got married. I got divorced. I moved to America.
In America, I went to Miami which played the role of awareness, California was the healing one, Miami (again) was the carefree one and New York was, and still is, my power, my identity and my strength.
I lost my grandmother and, with her, I also lost a part of my childhood.
I lived in more than 20 different places.
I launched two businesses. I wrote a book.
I lost myself a bunch of times. I hit rock bottom more than ever. I had a few wake up calls, aha moments and epiphanies.
I had a lot of fun. I had great encounters. I built a new family.
I took three times the risk to start all over and from that I finally understood that I was f****** strong!
I gave myself permission to be.
I reunited with my father after eight years of silence.
I made peace with my past.
I fought. I cursed. I smiled. I loved. I laughed. I cried. I screamed. I said “no”. I said “yes”. I meditated. I studied. I taught. I led. I inspired. I gave up. I surrendered. I lost. I won. I learned. I prayed. I enjoyed. I forgave. I invested. I bet. I broke up. I blamed. I complained. I appreciated. I pleased. I understood. I survived.
I existed and now I live. I’m not fighting with myself anymore. I understood that whatever I was looking for was actually within myself. I stopped looking for outer help and recognized myself as the solution, the love, the joy, the abundance, the happiness that I desperately wanted to find in someone or something else. I finally took charge of my life and decisions. There is no one to blame except ourselves. We are the one in charge of our life. We are the one in charge of our perception. Because, even though sometimes people will make decisions for us (as my parents did with the divorce), I still had the choice to perceive this event with anger or peace. This is how we keep moving on during difficult times. Things don’t make sense right away (or sometimes, they do) but sooner or later, they will so let’s not waste our time and energy trying to figure out right away what’s happening to us, let’s trust more, let’s surrender more and above all let’s believe that we deserve to be happy.
We can meditate, practice yoga, have a healthy diet and attend to all of the healing, spiritual and empowering workshops, but nothing will happen until we finally recognize and claim that YES, I DO DESERVE TO BE HAPPY. YES, I DO DESERVE TO BE LOVED AND RESPECTED. YES, I DESERVE TO HAVE A GREAT CAREER WITH A JOB THAT I LOVE AND BE ABUNDANT AND FULFILLED.
We have to deeply feel those words and embrace all of them with full consciousness and it’s here thank you can be sure that the shift, miracle (name it!) will happen.
You already are the person you want so desperately to be. You just don’t believe it.
So, please for the next nine years (and I hope even more) Believe in you!
Wishing you a great last end of year 2016, remember that it’s still a transformation year. Whatever you want to transform or adjust in your life, do it now! And enjoy your boldness for 2017.
